The human behind Cove
Hi, I'm Alexandre Bonnegarde-Delisle, a French software developer from Toulouse. Cove is an independent, one-person project: I design it, build it, test it, and answer every support email myself. If you write to alexandre.bonnegardedelisle@gmail.com, it's me who replies, usually within 48 hours.
Why Cove exists
I kept losing the same ten minutes, several times a day: close everything from one project, reopen everything for the next one. The right browser tabs, the right terminal directories, the right editor windows, all in the right places. Coming from game development, the fix felt obvious: workspaces should behave like save files. Capture the whole state, load it back in one click. That idea became Cove.
My background
I've been a professional developer since 2021. I led the mobile team at Linkall, a Toulouse startup, rebuilding an ERP app in Flutter for iOS and Android. At Infotel Conseil I built test automation used on Groupe BPCE's banking software and developed a C#/.NET loyalty application for Air France. I've also shipped a cross-platform AI app for Parallele Intelligence in Montréal, and mobile games in Unity for the Freestyle Trampoline Association in Toronto. Before all that, I earned a bachelor's degree in video game design and production at ESMA Toulouse, which is where the "workspaces as save files" instinct comes from.
The boring-but-important details
Cove is operated by me as a registered micro-entrepreneur in France (SIRET on request). Payments, invoices, VAT, and refunds are handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record, with a 14-day no-questions refund. The app itself is signed with my Apple Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and stores everything locally on your Mac. The full details are in the privacy policy and terms, written in plain language.
Find me elsewhere
I'm easy to verify: LinkedIn · GitHub · itch.io · Email. Questions about Cove, feedback, or just want to say hi: my inbox is open.
